Confirmed opponents

Official demo material and media gameplay footage identify Sasaki Ganryu, Daidara, Byakue, Rasho-gan, Ifuu and Burai as major opponents. CAPCOM also has a Formidable Foes section, but it does not establish the full encounter order on that page. This guide therefore does not present an invented all-boss sequence.

Why defense comes first

Boss fights bring Parry, Deflect, dodging and Issen together. Xbox Wire explains that Deflect reduces enemy stamina and handles some ranged attacks. IGN and GamesRadar highlight reading boss attacks and responding at the right time. Identifying the attack before choosing a defense is more reliable than mashing attack.

Preparation checklist

1. Organize healing and Oni Armaments resources at a Spirit Mirror.
2. Watch for the boss’s unblockable attacks, grabs and ranged moves.
3. Practice Parry against sword attacks, and prepare to dodge grabs, punches and kicks.
4. Attempt Issen only once you can read the wind-up. Return to safer defense after a miss.
5. When you need souls, choose an appropriate Break Issen weak point instead of always chasing maximum damage.

Spoilers and missing details

Demo bosses, late-game foes and the complete fight order are different sets of information. A final-boss clip alone cannot establish the full game’s order, health values or weaknesses. Check names, stats and patch changes against official pages and the version you are playing.
